In 2018, I was commissioned to make a Booklet in celebration of the first-year anniversary of a South Korean Idol Band Group named The Rose. The booklet was a fan project held by a Fansite Master.
The project involved a charity aspect where fans can contribute money to be featured within this booklet, which will be given to the band in celebration of their first anniversary.
The money collected was donated to Youth Music London, an arts charity group in the United Kingdom.
In the development of this project, I used Design Elements such as Line and Colour to represent The Image of The Rose and their music at the time. I used primarily White, Red, and Black in my colour to create unity, as well as represent the band and their fans. Red symbolizes the Band, as well as a symbol of passion as all of the members showcased drive and passion to succeed in their craft. Black represents the fandom, as the band lovingly calls them Black Roses.
I chose a geometric/low poly aesthetic to match the music they released around 2018. I was particularly inspired by their song “Baby” while making this booklet. The song had elements of teleportation in the music video, so I made geometric roses as both a reference to the band and Multiverse Connectivity.
